Pedro is at it again. He paid me $2 for posting about his ebook. Now, Pedro will be giving away $100 to a lucky winner $10 to 10 lucky winners. He did not ask for reviews of his blog like what other usual bloggers would do. Instead, he wants us to write about his country, Portugal. Very kind of him, doing something for his country.

Well, the first thing that came in my mind about Portugal — it is the first nation that conquer part of my country, Melaka, a state in Malaysia, in 1511. They even built A Famosa for a better defend, and it’s now one of the oldest building in Malaysia, a historical one.

Since then, there are a few Portuguese words being converted in to Malay. Same spelling and pronunciation if I am not mistaken, words like tuala and almari, are they right, Pedro? Here’s some general information about Portugal:

  • Average temperature at 13°C, one of the warmest European countries.
  • Snow falls occasionally in the northern interior of the country, from October to May (I love snow)
  • Portuguese loves fish (Pedro, do you?)
  • What else? A flag of Portugal maybe.

Pedro’s objective to encourage people to post about his country is trying to get more visitors to his country (not his blog). Especially for travel blogs, this is a big plus for you as you stand a chance to win $100 while writing a post that suits your blog.
